In-ear Products for Broadcast Presenters |

Broadcast presenters, and public speakers all need to use earpieces for IFB (Interruptible Foldback) or as it is often referred to, courtesy of BBC training: Switched Talkback. It is the method of discrete communication from a programme director to inform the presenter in real time of programme timing and breaks, links to remote presenters, late breaking news items as well as feeding actual programme for personal monitoring. Sensorcom manufacture a full range of products ranging from simple generic acoustic tubes to custom moulded devices for use in noisy environments during sports coverage when it is undesirable to wear standard headphones. For applications where presenter desire to have the earpiece completely discrete, we manufacture a wide range of inductively coupled wireless earpieces (ear bugs) which can be used either with an amplified loop system or with our neck loops in conjunction with a dedicated radio receiver. We can also supply these with a Dynamic Range Compression system which will compress the audio signal making it impossible to operate the unit at high levels but simultaneously maintaining good intelligibility. We also stock a wide range of earpiece drivers and accessories which incorporate an acoustic coupling nipple to which snaps into our acoustic tubes. These are available in black or beige two sizes and a wide range of impedances. Standard cables are 1M and are available unterminated jack or with a 3.5mm stereo jack wired for use with mono or stereo sockets. Other termination options are available to order. |
