Acoustic tubes are typically used in communications systems as a simple convenient and discreet way of getting audio signals to the ear. It is used by security forces, broadcasters, and motor racing teams and can be fitted with open (so that surrounding noised can be heard) or closed eartips for use in high noise environments. We list complete acoustic tube systems within the Broadcast and Security sections of this site, but here are some components to that special systems can be made for non-standard applications.
DIRECT FITTING OF EARTIPS TO EARPHONES Available in two sizes, these centre-stem adaptors fit directly onto standard earphone snap-ring fittings. The stem can then be used to fit eartips or acoustic eartubes.
Industry standard Stethoclip for use with acoustic tube systems, hospitals, dictation systems and applications where a standard 6MM earphone driver is used. The Stethoclip is fitted with PVC eartips.
