In Line Switches and Moulded Cables

These switch assemblies have been designed for use with headsets and perform a variety of functions including mic-mute, PTT and other functions controlled via the headset line within DECT and Cell phones. They are available with momentary and latching switches mounted on a universal PCB for ease of wiring. The box dimensions are (HxWxD) 12x20x60 with cable entry grommets taking cables between 2-4mm diameter. We have the facility of pre-wiring these switches to phone and radio interface connectors. Special versions of these are available including a model with a volume control for the headphone.

BB-MS In-line box with a single momentary switch. Typically this is used for PTT or line seize/release applications. Particularly good for use with headsets. Specials are available

BB-LS In-line box with a single latching changeover switch. Typically this is used as a mic-mute button within Cell phones and DECT phones

BB-ML In-line box with both momentary and latching switches. Typically this switch assembly is used with DECT phone systems where control is desired in the headset line.

BB-1 In-line box supplied with in-line cable grommets for custom project work. Made from black ABS plastic with locating lugs moulded in for securing PCB assemblies. A general purpose PCB is available for this switch accepting switches and potentiometers with a 4 pin DIL format.

CAB-253 A high-quality cable assembly with a 2.5mm right-angle moulded cables for Cell & DECT phones as well as some Private Mobile Radio (PMR) systems. These cables have a full spiral shield and that "soft-touch" feel to them. They are also very flexible and not prone to kinking. Available in Black or Translucent.

Mechanical components of good quality, reliability and design are not so easy to find: especially if you desire all the stated criteria. Intuitive products through popular demand probably best describes the products Sensorcom manufacture and the switches listed on this page are no exception! In fact for one of our own special projects we searched Europe looking for a simple in-line switch box and ended up tooling our own. Some of these switches are shown here and we have other special variants. Let us know if you need a special type of switch housing and it may just be that there is a mould tool lurking in Jack's (our toolmaker) cupboard! We are also happy to quote for custom communication products regardless of scale.

PS-100 This switch has been designed to fit into the palm of the hand for easy thumb-push operation. It has a raised button that it easily located and a positive switch action for giving the user the feel of the switch in operation.

All of the switches listed can be fitted with crocodile or pin type clips, depending on the application. Best to contact us with regard to the options that are available.

CAB-353 A high quality black cable with a 3.5mm right-angle moulded cable. This is used for stereo headphone connections and for low-voltage power supply applications. These cables have a full spiral shield and that "soft-touch" feel to them. They are also very flexible and not prone to kinking.

PCB-1 General purpose PCB designed to carry DIL format switches and pots. Circuits can be constructed by cutting tracks and adding jumper wires.
